Cause of the Southeast Las Vegas Valley Car Crash
It is unclear what happened in this case, and what caused this Las Vegas car accident to occur. The LVMPD traffic bureau will investigate and issue a report with their determination of the sequence of events and the probable cause of the crash. A traffic citation may be issued if it is determined that a driver violated traffic laws, such as running a red light or speeding.
While a traffic citation may not prove who caused an accident, it may be used as evidence in a civil claim. If another driver’s negligent actions caused or contributed to the accident, the injured victim may be entitled to compensation in a personal injury claim.
How Personal Injury Claims Work in Las Vegas
If you are injured by another driver who failed to exercise reasonable care, you may be entitled to financial compensation for your medical bills, lost earnings and pain and suffering. To recover damages, the victim (plaintiff) must prove the other party acted negligently. Common examples of negligence in a car accident include driving while distracted, driving under the influence, or driving recklessly. Inattention and distraction, taking eyes off the road to look at a cell phone or adjust the radio are a huge contributing factor in car accidents.
When negligence is suspected in a car accident, an experienced personal injury attorney can help the victim file the claim and recover compensation for their injuries, either by filing a lawsuit or negotiating a settlement with the other driver’s insurance company. Under a statute of limitations, Nevada personal injury claims must be filed within two years from the date of the injury, however, it is advisable to move promptly and file a claim as soon as possible. Evidence and witness recollections may evaporate after an accident. Because cases are handled on a no-win, no-fee basis,
