It has been well-established that pedestrians in Las Vegas are extremely vulnerable to accident, injury, and death. Last year, 91 white drawings were placed throughout the city, outlining where 91 pedestrians were killed in 2018 and 2019. Only 22 of the 91 accidents did not happen between dusk and dawn. Pedestrians are extremely vulnerable when visibility is reduced

Federal funding has also been allocated for extra patrols to discourage speeding and reckless driving.
